Making disciples who experience the power of the Gospel in their neighborhood.
Grace is Driven by our desire to see people living full lives for jesus. We believe that this happens best as we see Jesus as the center for all of life, live in community, value the journey, and love our neighbors. To learn more about these values listen to our Annual series 'The Values of Grace'.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. The Bible is the supreme and final authority in all matters of which it speaks.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe there is one eternal, almighty and perfect God, who has revealed Himself in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit distinguishable, yet indivisible, and of one and the same substance.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, true God and true man united in one Person. We believe in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
John 14:2-3; Luke 1:26-35; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
The Holy SPirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who has come to glorify Christ, to convict people of sin, and to draw us to God the Father. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe the Holy Spirit give us new life, imparts spiritual gifts (as recorded in the New Testament and manifested in the early church), and guides God’s children into all truth.
John 16:8; John 6:13-14; John 3:6; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:18; John 14:16-17, 26
We believe in the creation account as recorded in Genesis, and in the test and fall of man. As a result of the fall, people remain spiritually depraved, separated from God, and unable to attain right standing with God apart from Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:1-3, 24; Acts 20:24; Ephesians 4:17-24
We believe that salvation of sinful man is wholly dependent upon the work of God’s grace. Salvation is manifested through our repentance and faith in Christ and His finished work of the cross. Through His work, not our own, we obtain the remission of sins, and become God’s children, heir’s of God’s kingdom.
Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1, 9, 11
We believe in water baptism in order to fulfill the command of Jesus and as a way of demonstrating the supernatural work of new life in Christ.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38-39; 4:31; 19:1-6; Romans 6:1-4, Colossians 2:11-12
We believe in one true universal church consisting of genuine believers and in the visible expression of that church in local congregations. Local churches are under the headship of Jesus to propagate the Gospel, make disciples, administer the sacraments (baptism and communion), exercise spiritual discipline, and administrate its entire local works.
Matthew 16:18, 18:15-20; Acts 15:22
The Second Coming
We believe in the second coming of Christ physical and visible to judge the living and the dead, receive His church, and to consummate human history in the plan of God.
1Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 22:12; Ephesians 1:10
We believe in eternal life for all true believers and eternal judgment for the lost, Satan, and fallen angels.
John 3:16, 5:24; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 20:10-15
